For the house: Mora kitchen mixer (and the view!)
Or house is still sort of a building site, but as soon there is something to see I´ll share it with you! For now, here is the view from our future kitchen (winter and spring), and some pics of the mixer we´ve decided to go for in it: Mora Inxx A5 in stainless steel, by Swedish brand Mora. Can´t wait to make coffee here in the morning. This is the Oslofjord by the way, Oslo is just left of the picture.

New in: (Another) Basket
Photo: Bodie and Fou/Francois Köng
My friends tease me for being all into baskets and wood and natual materials these days, and I can understand why. I dragged a huge basket all the way back from Berlin with me, a lot easier buying them online (or on flea-markets), like this seagrass basket I just ordered from Bodie and Fou. Like it?

Lava- and ghost people
Photo: from Anders Arhøj
I really love these expressive ceramic figures, made by Danish ceramic artist Louise Gaarmann and designer Anders Arhøj. These little guys are glazed with a range of complex, beautiful tones, then individually hand-painted. Found them via Design Sponge and ended up buying them from Swedish shop Asplunds online store.

&Tradition: Milk Lamp
Photo: Norm Chp
I´m all about lighting these days, trying to find lamps for our new house. This cute litte one, made of glass, acrylic and oak, is a table lamp from Norm Chp./&tradition. It could be nice on top of our piano or in the childrens room, don`t you think? Designed by two Danish designers, Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen. If you like it as much as I do, you can get it here.

Vang chair by Engesvik
I´m going to start doing some post about my objects of desire, if you don´t mind? I promise this won´t turn into a shopping blog though. As we finally starts to see the end of our new house-project (still 5 months to go...) I´ve started thinking aboutwhat we´ll need when we move in. We sort of sold everything we had when we moved to the 40 kvm rental we´ve lived in for nearly two years now...
I´m still not sure what chairs to get for our kitchen, started out wanting the Y-chairs, but they seem to be everywhere now, so why don´t go for something a little bit more fresh and original? Well, this chair might be everywhere too, but at least it´s Norwegian, and made by someone who´s still alive: Andreas Engesvik and his wooden chair Vang. Love it, don´t you?
It is produced by the traditional handicraft factory Tonning, which
since 1946 has been located in Stryn, amongst fjords and mountains west
in Norway. The Vang chair was launched at the new norwegian exhibition during London Design Festival, September 2012. Design: Andreas Engesvik, Oslo Manufacturer: Tonning Møbler
