Concrete floors

As I might have told you before we´re thinking about getting concrete floors in parts of our new house. It looks kind of nice, doesn´t it? The owners of this home of (a steal from emmas designblogg) "chose a basic, paired down style for the interiors, with a white base and concrete floors. The furniture are mostly vintage or built on site." I like it!

  4. concrete floors are beautiful... but so hard on your back!!! I definetly wouldn't recommend them in the kitchen by the sink if you wash your own dishes or stove if you like to cook.... unless you want to get an ergonomic plastic floor matt.... which isn't near as lovely as the concrete floors. also, if you have kids.... every fall and face plant is a bruiser. lovely though.

  7. I have concrete flooring in my kitchen, and although I have to be careful putting in and out of the dishwasher (cutlery tend to splinter the finish), it´s my favorite part of the entire house. And yes, we have heating. In a strange way, the heat "softens" the concrete floor and makes it lovely to stand on :)

  9. The versatility of a concrete floor makes it ideal for homeowners who value home design the most. A concrete floor can be plain and simple (just like what is on the photos) for a clean and elegant effect. You can also paint it, if you want to add some artistic flavors to it. It also blends well with any kind of furniture!
