Photo: Jenny Brandt/Family LivingAs I might have told you before we´re thinking about getting concrete floors in parts of our new house. It looks kind of nice, doesn´t it? The owners of this home of (a steal from emmas designblogg) "chose a basic, paired down style for the interiors, with a white base and concrete floors. The furniture are mostly vintage or built on site." I like it!
I like this home too - and the concrete floors are incredible!
ReplyDeleteReally nice :)
ReplyDeleteConcrete floors are nice as long as they are a light color and fairly smooth. I love these pics!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to polish our basement floors this summer. I think there are so many beautiful possibilites with concrete such as staining. I just stumbled upon your blog, and I cannot wait until my next free afternoon to sit down with a coffee and go through your blog. How I love Swedish design. When you have a chance, look through my blog... http://theswedishfurniture.com/ It is more centered around the 17th and 18th century Swedish design. Huge Blessings to you my dear!! Meranda
ReplyDeleteIt is soo nice!
ReplyDeletelove it!!!
ReplyDeleteconcrete floors are beautiful... but so hard on your back!!! I definetly wouldn't recommend them in the kitchen by the sink if you wash your own dishes or stove if you like to cook.... unless you want to get an ergonomic plastic floor matt.... which isn't near as lovely as the concrete floors. also, if you have kids.... every fall and face plant is a bruiser. lovely though.
ReplyDeleteI really like the concrete floors can you get them heated though..?
ReplyDeletehuge fan on concrete floors, simply gorgeous!

I have concrete flooring in my kitchen, and although I have to be careful putting in and out of the dishwasher (cutlery tend to splinter the finish), it´s my favorite part of the entire house. And yes, we have heating. In a strange way, the heat "softens" the concrete floor and makes it lovely to stand on :)

Cool, rough + beautiful floor, very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe versatility of a concrete floor makes it ideal for homeowners who value home design the most. A concrete floor can be plain and simple (just like what is on the photos) for a clean and elegant effect. You can also paint it, if you want to add some artistic flavors to it. It also blends well with any kind of furniture!
ReplyDeleteThe concrete floor lights up the space. Black is a great choice as an accent color. Your place is stunning, in a minimalist's hindsight. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is what you call perfect sample blog same as the blog of concrete floor Miami. Keep on posting!
