Finnish and prefab

Photo: Morten Holtum

This Kannutsalo-house, designed by Ulla Koskinen, proves that prefabs doesn´t have to be boring. I found this house in Norwegian magazine Design Interiør.

  2. Hei, vet du noe om priser? Og om de leverer til Norge?

  3. Desverre, men sjekk ut nettsiden deres. Den er riktignok på finsk, men du klarer kanskje å finne kontaktinfo likevel? Vet mange av de svenske ferdighusene leverer til Norge. Lykke til!

  4. Well, the owner of this prefab, Ulla Koskinen, also happens to be the designer of this house. To my understanding, she specifically designed her own "dream house" to meet the needs of her own family. No wonder it looks so good and cosy. It's great, of course, that now others can enjoy it too. Btw, Ulla Koskinen was quite recently nominated as the editor in chief of the Finnish interior magazine Deko (by far the best we've got in Finland).

Many thanks for your blog Wilde, I really enjoy it!

  8. Åh, dette har jeg sett på en eller annen plass før, det er bare så lekkert!
Det ser jo så lunt og koselig ut, på tross av den kjølige betongen og alt!

    Ha ei fin uke!

  13. I love the feel of this house. I saw it before in a finnish Deco-magazine.

Now i'm asking for a favor. Could you find a house with a scandinavian feel with open spaces, kind of a loft?

In a couple of years we are facing a project where me and my hudband-to-be will knock down some walls and make our boring 80's house as a loft with open spaces and hidden kitchen behind sliding doors. (So we can hide all the mess when we feel lazy.)
    I'm hoping some inspiring fotos.

I'm loving your blog. It's style is so unic comparing to another interior blogs.

  14. oh, I love this-so elegant! Actually I don't think there's a single entry here that I'm not crazy about! Whenever I'm sick of picking up after teenagers and husband, I love to look at gorgeous, clean lined, clutter free living - something to aspire to in Canada! Thanks for sharing your finds with us online!
