DIY

Photo: Hus&Hem

I´m back from my blog break with this Swedish house. It is actually designed by its owner. Pretty impressive, as he´s not an architect. Maybe we could do the same? We are planning to build our own house just outside Oslo, and I´m searching the net for inspiration. Because of our new project, this blog might turn into more of a house-AND-cabin-blog...

  3. That is a fantastic house. So many wonderful details. The kitchen with the red panel/window behind the espresso machine & the fire place are my favourites. Thanks for sharing.

  13. Beautiful house, and it has convinced me once again that we will have to go for plain wood window frames in our house! ;-))) Do you have any idea where those simple ceiling lamps come from? They are really nice.

I have a similar backwall in my kitchen. It's not a window, but a stainless steal pannel you can buy in IKEA; very nifty and practical. We use it to cover an old doorframe that we will re-utilise in the next stage of our renovation.
