You might have seen this Danish summer house in Bo Bedre before, it is situated on Stillinge Strand on Vestsjælland. Its proximity to the sea makes it a surfers paradise.
Small beach cabins from Swedish arhitects Sandell Sanberg. Situated on Gotland, 10 minutes walk from one of my favourite summer houses. The pine facade of the cabin is treated the traditional way: with a tar and linseed oil varnish.
Via KITKA Design Toronto I found the Finnish blog Nestled In. It is the home blog of Katja and Minna, and it shows their very cool home, but also their visits to friends and family - and to this summer house! Love the pictures and the down to earth style.
These photos are from a summer house on the Norwegian blog Huset på Planen, where you can follow not only the owners process of creating a perfect summer house, but also the redecoration of their mountain cottage. I love the bold use of concrete and wood in this summer house, escpecially the kitchen and the cabins for the lucky guests.
Finally another Norwegian home: this is Gunnar´s house by Norwegian architects Huus & Heim. Not a summer house or a cottage, but love the use of wood and the straight lines.
This Scandinavian style cottage is actually situated in Ontario, Canada. On KITKA design toronto you can se the transformation the cottage has gone through. I really love it - and the fact that is is all done on a budget (I know the feeling..). Go check it out here
