From Norwegian architects Helen & Hard: "The single family house for a young couple is buit in massive wood elements. The intention of the project is to organize the different zones on different levels and to create thereby a spatial flow in between them."
Photo: from remodelista I´m on remodelista! You won´t belive how happy I was when they had a post about "my" Scandinavian summer houses. I really love their stylish blog, featuring architecture, interiors and design. Go check out the blog - and the homes of the two editors, Julie and Francesca.
This small cabin in Hardanger, Norway is made off all eco friendly materials. It´s designed by Norwegian architects Tommie Wilhelmsen and Todd Saunders in 2002. You can read about this and 14 other buildings by Tommie Wilhelmsen in this book.
Not exactly a cabin, but I still find this building, situated on Svartlamoen, very inspiring. Svartlamoen is an area in Trondheim, Norway, related to the more famous Christiania in Copenhagen. It is designed by Norwegian architects Brenland & Kristoffersen.
I think this cabin has the same owners as this summer house, with the same wow-effect! Maybe they could give me one of their houses? Who needs two anyway?
Amazing modernist villa by the sea in southern Spain. More great houses and cabins on The Beach Studios & Locations. I think I`m going to copy the bedcurtains on our daybed.
